The East Branch of the Delaware is generally a series of riffles and quiet pools, making it an excellent stream for beginners. Let the current take you as you enjoy the beautiful scenery and observe a diverse wealth of wildlife including deer, beaver, muskrat, bald eagle, merganser, bluebirds, and many others. Canoeing Tips

Leave wildlife and plants undisturbed.
Bring old shoes for wading.
Dress in layers. Mornings and evenings are often cool.
Wear you life vest.
Much of the property on the river is privately owned. Respect the owner's rights and privacy.
Please share the river with fishermen - leave room and quietly pass them so the fish are not disturbed.
